This article shows you how you can backup your existing MT installation, reinstall Mosets Tree 2.0.x and restore all your old data. Before doing any of these steps, please do a full files and database backup of your Joomla site.

1. Back up the following item:
   • All MySQL tables that have jos_mt_ prefix.
   • Image directory at /components/com_mtree/img/
2. Now, proceed by uninstalling your existing old copy of Mosets Tree and installing the new version right after that. This will give you a clean default version of Mosets Tree
3. Restore all the items you back-up in step 1 by replacing the database tables and image directory.
4. Finally, run the upgrade script to bring Mosets Tree up to date by running this URL:

   http://www.example.com/administrator/index2.php?option=com_mtree&task=upgrade

   Replace www.example.com with your site domain.
