The Joomla project has released their latest version of Joomla 2.5.0, and I'm pleased report that Mosets Tree 2.2.4, that was released earlier, is compatible with Joomla 2.5.
Upgrading to Mosets Tree 2.2.4
If you are already running Mosets Tree 2.2 with Joomla 1.7, upgrading couldn't be easier. All you need to do to upgrade is simply install Mosets Tree 2.2.4 package (pkg_mtree-2.2.4.zip) over your existing installation after you have updated your site to Joomla 2.5.
Joomla 2.5 - Long Term Support (LTS) release
The release of Joomla 2.5 signals the end of life for Joomla 1.6 and 1.7. If you are running Joomla 1.6 or 1.7, you are strongly recommended to upgrade to Joomla 2.5. Joomla 2.5's release also signals the start of a new Long Term Support release which means the Joomla project will support and release updates to Joomla 2.5 for the next 24 months until December 2013. |

I'm pleased to announce the release of Mosets Tree 2.2.0 for Joomla! 1.6. This update brings Joomla 1.6 native compatibility to Mosets Tree. Here are some of the new features that has been added to Mosets Tree 2.2:
Kinabalu template pre-installed
Kinabalu template for Mosets Tree now comes with every copy of Mosets Tree 2.2.0. You can now choose one of the 7 available listings details styles for your directory and use category specific module position out of the box. Note that the Kinabalu site template is not included in this version, but can be purchased separately.
Lightbox
By popular demand, light box is now available to allow your users to quickly browse images in your directory listings.
Expanded Field Types
3 of our popular custom field types is now part of Mosets Tree - Checkbox with Image, Enhanced Weblink and Enhanced Text. These field types has always been available for download from our forum but now it is made more accessible to our users by including it in Mosets Tree's core package.
Single Install Package
You can now install Mosets Tree component, modules and plugins by just installing a single package (pkg_mtree-2.2.x.zip), saving you time and letting you get started with Mosets Tree quickly. Future upgrades will also be faster as you only need to install the package to update all Mosets Tree extensions (component, modules and plugins).
Going forward, Mosets Tree's development will be focused on Joomla 1.6 and beyond. Mosets Tree 2.1.x will be mantained for at least another 12 months or until Joomla 1.5 has ceased support by Joomla Project, which ever is later.
Mosets Tree 2.2 is available for download to all active subscribers by logging in to Mosets account. If you have any questions about Mosets Tree 2.2, you can direct them to Mosets Tree 2.2 forum. |

I'm excited to announce the release of Kinabalu template - the first and only template that comes with a companion Mosets Tree template. Kinabalu is a Joomla! 1.5 template with a clean and contemporary design. It is designed specifically to handle any type of directory or non-directory website with the focus of showing information with clarity.
Mosets Tree demo site has been updated to use the Kinabalu template. If you haven't been to the demo lately, this is a good time to give it a visit to view the new site and the template.

Weeks after the largest revamp to Hot Property 1.0, we are proud to announce the release of Hot Property RC (Release Candidate) 1. This release contains the final set of the features from our internal 1.0 roadmap.
The biggest enhancement in this release is the built in support for Joomla's core SEF URLs. Hot Property 1.0 also support caching plus addition of a 3 new views - All Companies, All Agents and All Type - giving it maximum flexibility to show any type of information in Hot Property.
We expect this to be the one and only RC release for Hot Property 1.0. If there are no major issues, we plan to release the final version of Hot Property 1.0 next month.
As usual, the release is available to all new and existing Hot Property subscribers. You can download Hot Property RC 1 by logging in to your account at http://www.mosets.com/login/ and click on your Hot Property's subscription number. The extension that many vacation rental websites relies on is now available for Hot Property 1.0 on Joomla 1.5! Take a look at the new screenshots of the new Availability extension for Hot Property.
Existing users who have purchased availability extensions previously will receive this version as a free update. For these users, the extension can be downloaded from your Mosets account by logging in to http://www.mosets.com/login/.
Availability extension 1.2 requires at least Hot Property 1.0 RC 1 to run. |

We're excited to announce the release of our latest update for Hot Property - version 1.0 Beta 5. After months of hard work we have finally completed the overhaul of Hot Property's front-end. Here is the list of new features in Hot Property 1.0 Beta 5:
Unified MVC
Front and Back-end now take advantage of unified MVC framework. In non-developer speak, this means the model and business logic that represents Hot Property's structure is represented in one place making it very easy for developers to extend Hot Property's model in the future.
Mosets Framework
From helping developers to develop better Joomla application faster to improving existing Joomla's function. That is the aim of our new framework called Mosets framework. This new framework is shipped as part of Hot Property and will be the core foundation of Hot Property. This is available as a plugin, so any developers can use Mosets Framework to help them with application development in Joomla.
xHTML valid and sematically correct code
HTML outputs from Hot Property are now XHTML valid and based on semantically correct markup. It uses the absolute minimum HTML elements to define our data and each HTML elements are carefully choosen to meaningfully describe the content. This is Plain Old Semantic HTML (POSH), built right in to the new Hot Property.
 All headings use the Heading element (h1, h2 & h4). List elements (ul & li) are used for list of properties, images, agents, companies and anything that is a list. Definition list elements (dl, dt & dd) are used to list all captions/values pairs for properties, agents and companies.
If you are a designer or webmaster who constantly deal with making changes to the HTML code, you will find the new Hot Property template to be a breath of fresh air with semantic code - less noise and easy to understand. Exactly what you need to dive in and make the changes you want.
For end users, they will have pages that loads quicker and more accessible.
There are more benefits to semantically correct codes too. Because the content is easier to understand by human and computers, it tends to rank higher in search engine's results. Since we carefully choose the correct elements to describe the content, Hot Property will inherit the right CSS style from templates that adhere to semantically correct code. You as a designer is less likely need override Hot Property's template.
hCard
Agents and Companies' contacts information are now available in hCard format.
 Minimal use of CSS
We set ourself to use the absolute minimum CSS rules while creating a nice and clean layout across Hot Property. The CSS rules has been refactored to be minimal and as lean as possible. It works great with any Joomla site template and gives greater flexibility to designer to customize the styles in Hot Property. Nothing you never need, but has everything that makes Hot Property looks good.
Minimal and degradable Javascript
Javascript usage in Hot Property has been refactored in 1.0 Beta 5. If your users does not have Javascript enabled, it degrades gracefully while still being usable.
Remember your search
Searching for a 2-bedrooms apartment? Enter this as search to Hot Property and it will remember your search criteria across pages. Improved search support in Hot Property 1.0 Beta 5 which enables shared search keyword across pages in search module and advanced search. Any searches done, will be remembered and stored as session variables. This improved user experience as your users only need to enter a search term once and Hot Property will re-populate the search form again whenever they perform a search another time.
Fields support in Search module
Search module now allows you to select and display multiple fields to be searchable. This used to be Advanced Search page's feature, now it's available to search module too.
Installable gallery
A new hook is added to display photos in properties. This opens up the possibility for third party developers to create custom installable gallery for Hot Property. Hot Property ships with a standard basic gallery.
Menu parameters
Menu parameters are available to all views which allows you to override the main component's configuration.

- New set of "No Photos" imags for property, company and agent.
- Smarter redirection based on refering page.
- Now uses Joomla's pathway.
- Improved pagination to provide list of pagination links near by to the current page.
- All list views have ordering and limit options to provide more options to users to navigation through large number of properties. These options are configurable.
- Configurations are now stored in database. This is the same "Parameters" icon you have known and used in most Joomla's core component. We call this "Settings".
