We're excited to announce the release of our latest update for Hot Property - version 1.0 Beta 5. After months of hard work we have finally completed the overhaul of Hot Property's front-end. Here is the list of new features in Hot Property 1.0 Beta 5:
Unified MVCFront and Back-end now take advantage of unified MVC framework. In non-developer speak, this means the model and business logic that represents Hot Property's structure is represented in one place making it very easy for developers to extend Hot Property's model in the future.Mosets Framework
From helping developers to develop better Joomla application faster to improving existing Joomla's function. That is the aim of our new framework called Mosets framework. This new framework is shipped as part of Hot Property and will be the core foundation of Hot Property. This is available as a plugin, so any developers can use Mosets Framework to help them with application development in Joomla. xHTML valid and sematically correct codeHTML outputs from Hot Property are now XHTML valid and based on semantically correct markup. It uses the absolute minimum HTML elements to define our data and each HTML elements are carefully choosen to meaningfully describe the content. This is Plain Old Semantic HTML (POSH), built right in to the new Hot Property.
If you are a designer or webmaster who constantly deal with making changes to the HTML code, you will find the new Hot Property template to be a breath of fresh air with semantic code - less noise and easy to understand. Exactly what you need to dive in and make the changes you want. For end users, they will have pages that loads quicker and more accessible. There are more benefits to semantically correct codes too. Because the content is easier to understand by human and computers, it tends to rank higher in search engine's results. Since we carefully choose the correct elements to describe the content, Hot Property will inherit the right CSS style from templates that adhere to semantically correct code. You as a designer is less likely need override Hot Property's template. hCardAgents and Companies' contacts information are now available in hCard format.
We set ourself to use the absolute minimum CSS rules while creating a nice and clean layout across Hot Property. The CSS rules has been refactored to be minimal and as lean as possible. It works great with any Joomla site template and gives greater flexibility to designer to customize the styles in Hot Property. Nothing you never need, but has everything that makes Hot Property looks good.

All headings use the Heading element (h1, h2 & h4). List elements (ul & li) are used for list of properties, images, agents, companies and anything that is a list. Definition list elements (dl, dt & dd) are used to list all captions/values pairs for properties, agents and companies.
Minimal use of CSS
Searching for a 2-bedrooms apartment? Enter this as search to Hot Property and it will remember your search criteria across pages. Improved search support in Hot Property 1.0 Beta 5 which enables shared search keyword across pages in search module and advanced search. Any searches done, will be remembered and stored as session variables. This improved user experience as your users only need to enter a search term once and Hot Property will re-populate the search form again whenever they perform a search another time.
